Zeelo, a smart commuter mobility platform for organizations, has raised $12 million in a funding round led by ETF Partners. Other participants include InMotion Ventures and various angel investors, including Neil Smith, Founder of Transit Systems.
Zeelo plans to utilize the funds to expand in the United States and Europe and provide its technology platform as a SaaS solution to fleet operator partners and promote the usage of zero-emission buses and coaches.
Zeelo has grown its revenue by 600 percent in the last 18 months, achieving regional profitability by assisting companies in the logistics and manufacturing industries, as well as post-pandemic hybrid workplaces and schools, allowing people in car-dependent areas to commute to work and school using sustainable transportation.
To promote employee recruitment and reduce CO2 emissions from commuting, the firm collaborates with companies, schools, and fleet operators to provide inexpensive and convenient bus programs that give a viable alternative to driving a vehicle.
Compared to a typical bus operator, Zeelo’s mobile applications, client workspace planning tools, route-optimization software, and asset-light vehicle model save expenses by up to 42 percent and CO2 emissions by 78 percent, with 30 vehicles taken off the road for every trip. Multinational customers such as Ocado, Amazon, and Wincanton use Zeelo’s turnkey and SaaS solutions.
Outside urban centers, the vast majority of people need a car to access work and education. Amongst our shift-worker customers, 30% of candidates don’t turn up to the job interview in the first place because they can’t get there. Zeelo is playing an important role in improving social mobility and decarbonizing transportation. In the past 18 months, employers have realized the importance of it too. Now it’s time to bring this to the masses.Sam Ryan, co-founder & CEO
