WPCS.io, based in Amsterdam, has raised seed investment to promote multi-tenant WordPress; here’s how it works

WPCS.io, an Amsterdam-based supplier of a multi-tenant WordPress cloud platform for building SaaS products with WordPress, announced that it had completed its Seed round with an undisclosed amount of money.

The company raised funds to kickstart a new generation of autonomous SaaS efforts around the world, according to Wijnand van Leeuwen, CEO, and co-founder. It includes recruiting more developers, expanding marketing activities, and establishing a global brand.

Arches Capital, a firm based in Amsterdam that invests in startups and scale-ups with significant development potential, invested.

Arches Capital comprises a collection of business angels that aim to bridge the gap between formal (VC) and informal (business angel) investors by combining the best of both worlds. “We source, select and invest like a VC; we engage, care and inspire as the angel we are,” the company adds.

It sets itself apart by providing “superior” deal flow, expert knowledge, and a lower risk profile to participating angel investors, as well as supporting its portfolio firms from start to finish through follow-on investments.

WPCS promises to be the world’s first WordPress multi-tenant cloud platform, enabling anyone to construct, manage, and expand websites or web products. It was founded in November 2020 by Roger Rosweide, Sybren van Kesteren, Wijnand van Leeuwen, and Dexter Drupsteen.

WPCS allows customers to build a website as they would with WordPress, quickly generate different websites based on their website product, and scale to thousands of websites while maintaining control over just one.
