Trainn, a Chennai-based B2B SaaS firm, has raised $700,000 in a seed round headed by Speciale Invest. The investment round included participation from Arka Venture Labs and angel investors such as the Chargebee Founders, Shan Krishnasamy, CTO of Freshworks, and Abhishek Goyal, Co-founder of Tracxn, among others.

The cash will be used to expand the company’s personnel, fuel go-to-market operations, and speed up product development.

Through customer education, Trainn seeks to assist SaaS firms in creating real ROI, enhancing adoption, and customer retention, while simultaneously lowering support expenses and pricey in-person training.

While working with several teams earlier, co-founders Vivekanandhan Natarajan and Sumana Abirami Ammaiyappan saw the necessity to optimize the onboarding process and educate users to enable better software adoption.

“It is exhilarating to see start-ups with novelty in their ideas, approach and products that will ultimately make life easier for a lot of SaaS companies. The fresh minds challenge the status quo and Trainn looks poised for success as it is on a mission to help customers accelerate product adoption with product training videos and academies which was not heard earlier. We are eager to see the impact Trainn will create in their space.”

Trainn’s video creation platform is intended to make challenging onboarding, user education, and documentation processes accessible to all team members. It wants to alleviate the difficulties of video creation and editing for those with no prior experience with video and facilitate sharing and distribution.
