Strex, a consortium controlled by the main Norwegian mobile carriers Telenor, Telia, and Ice, has chosen Amdocs to extend and enhance its existing mobile payments platform. Amdocs is a prominent provider of software and services to communications and media organizations. Strex offers mobile payment options to everyone in Norway who has a mobile subscription.
As per the deal, Amdocs will install its newest cloud-native, microservices-based mobile payments technology at Strex, which will be delivered as a SaaS model and powered by Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS). Using the open banking API ecosystem, the new platform will support new sophisticated 5G use cases and provide end-to-end coverage for the rising consumer demand for digital payments.
Seamless money transfers, direct bank payments, and other e-wallet-based services are becoming increasingly important to our subscribers.
