Skit raised $23M in Series B funding from WestBridge Capital and others to expand in markets like the US and enhance its voice technology. The company provides a suite of speech and language solutions that enable enterprises to automate their call center operations.


Skit, an AI-first SaaS voice automation company helping enterprises automate their contact center operations, raised $23 million in a Series B funding round led by WestBridge Capital to fuel growth and product evolution, a press release from Skit said.

The Series A round for Skit came in May last year, where it netted $5.1 million. The close of this round takes the total amount raised by the company to about $30 million. Kalaari Capital and Exfinity Ventures, Angelist syndicate led by Aaryaman Vir Shah from Prophetic Ventures and Letsventure syndicate led by Sense AI, participated in the Series B funding.

Skit, founded in 2016, provides a suite of speech and language solutions that enable enterprises to automate their call center operations. Sourabh Gupta, co-founder and CEO of Skit, stated that the investment came at a time when Skit was making strategic inroads into the US and Southeast Asian markets and added,

“Clients and investors alike have recognized the uniqueness and superiority of our product and continue to show confidence in our growth path. The global contact center market size is expected to grow steadily and reach a value of 496 billion US dollars by 2027. To address this sizable growth, we at Skit are using voice bot innovation and our market observations to personalize caller experiences at customer contact centers and deliver upto 50 percent cost reduction and superior customer experience. We are driven by the passion of our clients and our team to change the way businesses interact with their customers,”  

Sourabh said.

Skit stated that it would use the proceeds from the funding to enhance its voice technology, develop personalized solutions while making strategic headway in global markets like the US. Sashi Reddi, venture advisor to Westbridge Capital, expressed delight at the investment and added,

“We are delighted to back Sourabh and Akshay as they continue to help global companies transform how customer service is delivered. Skit’s success in helping India’s largest companies positions them well to enter the US market where there is a massive need for voice AI solutions,”
