RainFocus, a firm that specializes in event marketing, has completed a Series C round of funding backed by KKR. RainFocus is an event management system that helps you organize, execute, and promote hybrid, in-person, and virtual events.

RainFocus, an event marketing enterprise, has announced that it has raised a Series C funding round that was led by KKR, a global investment firm. This strategic partnership by Rainfocus with KKR and JMI will enhance the event management technology program. This will enable RainFocus to grow its strategic go-to-market initiatives. The financial details of this series C funding were not disclosed.

RainFocus provides an end-to-end solution for establishing, administering, and advancing hybrid, in-person and virtual events that focus on delivering well-furnished, seamless connectivity, data, and insights. JMI Equity, an equity-based firm focused on investing, also participated in this funding round. The previous funding raised by RainFocus last year was $2.5M.

This firm was formed on the idea that the events industry is ready for change. Existing systems, both new and old, are struggling to integrate event data with traditional marketing because they lack the scalability, security, and consistency needed to provide great customized experiences,

JR Sherman, CEO at RainFocus.

RainFocus will continue to focus on bolstering the strength of its platform and services, delivering confidence to clients, and maintaining its commitment to innovation of the attendee experience, exhibitor activation, and speaker enablement at its clients’ world-class events as organizations navigate the return to in-person and hybrid events.

The RainFocus team is pioneering a new approach that combines best-in-class event management with a unified data solution. The result is a transformation in how companies think about events as an integrated part of their investments in data-driven marketing

Dave Welsh, KKR Partner and Head of Next Generation Technology Growth.
