Norgesmllene AS, part of Cernova, the Norway-based flour milling and industrial business, has used Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage to help its digital transformation phase and Industry 4.0 initiatives to streamline processes and improve visibility, said Infor, the industry cloud provider.

Elvenite, an Infor alliance partner, manages and implements Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage, which is built on Infor’s multi-tenant AWS cloud platform.

Norgesmøllene AS had full faith in partnering with Elvenite to deploy the Infor CloudSuite, which includes the Infor M3 ERP framework, Infor Rhythm for Commerce, and Infor Factory Track Warehouse Mobility, after using Infor M3 (formerly Movex) since the late 1990s.

The company faces a host of difficulties in servicing its key markets due to the complexities in the milling and commercial bakery sectors. To take advantage of the newest functionality and underpin future development, the business needed new modern cloud-based ERP (enterprise resource planning) capabilities.

Norgesmøllene AS expects Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage, which also includes Eye Share, to handle the workflow of inbound supplier invoices, streamline processes and increase visibility. The intuitive user interface supports the company’s strategy for modernization by further combining documentation using Infor OS operating service and Infor Document Management.

I’ve been involved in implementing and using ERP systems for several decades and can honestly say that thanks to Elvenite, this is the smoothest project I have experienced since we introduced Infor M3 11 years ago. Making the transition to the cloud has transformed our business and provided us with a robust, scalable platform from which to pursue our continuous improvement strategy and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Rolf Palmesen, Cernova IT manager, said

He added that the cloud is unquestionably the way of the future, and although sticking on the most recent version wasn’t a requirement for this initiative, having access to new features and technical upgrades was an added benefit.

Mathias Dyberg, CEO at Elvenite, said that his company was excited to shift another of their food industry customers to a multi-tenant cloud setting, giving their customers a best-in-class platform to innovate and expand their business.

Our alliance partnership with Infor means that we can apply our food industry expertise with world-class cloud solutions to help our customers drive digital transformation in a way that facilitates robust foundations for their future journeys.”

Mathias Dyberg, CEO at Elvenite

Working closely with our specialist alliance partner for the food industry, Elvenite, we’ve brought together our combined business know-how and in-depth technical knowledge to create long-term value for Cernova. Our converged expertise has resulted in a smooth and successful deployment for Cernova, and we look forward to working with them going forward to support their goals.”
