Maven 11 Capital, an Amsterdam-based crypto investment business, has closed its second fund at €106.35 million.

Maven 11 Capital, an Amsterdam-based venture capital firm focused on blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), announced the closing of its second fund, Venture Fund II, at $120 million (about €106.35 million). The firm will continue to expand its funding of innovators looking to build novel infrastructure protocols, Decentralised Finance (DeFi) primitives, and Web 3.0 apps in the crypto industry.

High net worth people with a background in finance and technology, crypto entrepreneurs, family offices, and institutional backers are among the investors in Maven 11 Capital’s Venture Fund II. The fund’s $120 million closure illustrates a growing willingness among investors to include crypto assets in their venture portfolios.

“Investors clearly appreciate that besides participating through their investments, they also become active members of these communities and their ecosystems. Clearly, this is a space that can no longer be ignored”, said Joost van der Plas, partner at Maven 11 Capital.
