B Capital Group led a $35 million Series B investment round in Hypersonix, a commerce-focused enterprise AI platform. The money will be used to build and accelerate the company’s commerce AI infrastructure. Hypersonix started operations in India in 2018 and presently employs over a hundred people in Bengaluru and Coimbatore. It plans to double this amount by FY22. 

Hypersonix, an enterprise AI platform for commerce, has announced that it has raised $35 million at a valuation of $200 million in a Series B funding round led by B Capital Group. Other participants include Intel Capital, Firebolt Ventures, Magicus Ventures, and Gokul Rajaram, among others.   

Rama Rao, co-founder and chief product and data officer at Hypersonix, said, “Being a leader in implementing state-of-the-art technology, we are planning to use the raised amount to invest in accelerating and deepening our commerce AI infrastructure while also focusing on expanding sales and marketing footprint globally. This will enable us to deliver more data-driven business solutions and strategies for enterprises across commerce verticals.”

Hypersonix entered India in 2018 and now has over a hundred workers in Bengaluru and Coimbatore. By FY22, it intends to double this figure. The firm has now secured more than $50 million in funding, more than doubling its Series A investment value from March 2020.

Kumar Srivastava has joined Hypersonix as Chief Technology Officer, the business just announced. He’ll be in charge of directing the development team as they roll out new products, as well as monitoring ongoing product enhancements. He will also oversee and manage activities in India.
