20 minute VC podcaster Harry Stebbings has raised funding for 20VC. The current raise represents a 15-fold increase over the $8.3 million initial funds, which was launched less than a year ago. Mr. Stebbings’ early-stage fund, 20VC Early, will invest $250,000 to $750,000, while his growth-stage fund, 20VC Explorer, will invest $1 million to $5 million.

Harry Stebbings, the podcaster of 20 minute VC, has announced he has raised funds for 20VC, a venture capital fund launched after the success of his podcast.

The funds are raised for two fronts— one for the early stage; the other for the growth stage. The $140 million has been raised from LPs (Limited Partners), including MIT, RIT Capital partners, and early Spotify investor Shakil Khan.

The latest funding is a 15 times increase from the inaugural fund of $8.3 million launched by Mr. Stebbings less than a year ago.

Mr. Stebbings said his early-stage fund, 20VC Early, will invest checks ranging from $250,000 to $750,000, while his growth-stage fund, 20VC Explorer, would invest checks ranging from $1 million to $5 million from Series B onwards.

A few rumored unicorns are already in the 20VC portfolio, including audio app Clubhouse and virtual event organizer Hopin. But maybe more important to understand is his presumed success — as a 24-year-old who has landed lucrative agreements and built a sizable venture capital fund — signifies the future of technology.

Stebbings’ podcast has developed a following by interviewing tech’s elite, from Twitter co-founder Biz Stone to Slack founder Stewart Butterfield and a16z’s Angela Strange. It now has over 200,000 subscribers and 80 million downloads. Those relationships have been turned into money, indicating the increasing notion that Twitter followers may assist anyone in starting a rolling fund.
