Google Workspace and Miro have announced a new partnership to assist teams in collaborating more effectively and easily in-person or virtually. Miro is an online collaboration whiteboard platform.

Within Google Meet and throughout Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, integrated features in Google Workspace and Miro will simplify teams to brainstorm and co-create both asynchronously and in real time.

Teams are expected to work well together across locations and boundaries, and so should their workplace applications and tools. By bringing together, helpful tools to boost engagement, innovation, and creativity in meetings, workshops, design sprints, and more, this integration with Miro will give our 3 billion users a flexible solution, especially for a hybrid work environment.

Adrienne McCallister, VP, Global Partnerships, Google Workspace

Google Workspace and Miro will combine product features on several levels, allowing for a more fluid and flexible collaborative experience. On Miro boards, users may already import and live-edit existing Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

Advancing our integration with Google Workspace will bring Miro’s innovative and infinite whiteboard to billions of users and help more teams discover new ways to work and innovate together, regardless of whether they’re face-to-face or across time zones. We want everyone from enterprises to academic institutions to harness the power of a seamless collaboration experience.

Kevin Chung, VP of Business Development at Miro

Teams will be able to bring the excitement and results of in-person meetings to Google Meet video meetings with integrated, dynamic, and collaborative Miro boards introduced within Google Meet, as well as additional features that will begin rolling out in early 2022.

Other functionalities include: To guarantee that all participants are prepared and ready to collaborate during meetings and seminars, attach and share any Miro board straight in Google Calendar; without having to worry about maintaining changes in sync, edit Docs, Sheets, and Slides in Workspace or Miro; to see connecting points across Docs, Sheets, and Slides on a Miro board, draw, diagram, and add text and shapes to link the dots between work.
