Geniemode, a B2B etailer, has raised $7 million in funding from InfoEdge Ventures and others

Geniemode, a cross-border e-commerce startup for businesses, has raised $7 million in a Series A funding round led by Info Edge Ventures, the investment arm of Info Edge (India) Ltd.

The funding, which comes four months after the Gurugram-based firm’s $2.25-million seed round, will be used to scale the company’s tech platform to onboard more buyers and sellers and expand geographically.

Tanuj Gangwani and Amit Sharma founded Geniemode in 2021 to help global buyers source reliably from suppliers in India and Southeast Asia. The company claims to have over 100 small and large suppliers from the Indian subcontinent on board. It is currently working with over a hundred suppliers from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka to meet incoming demand.

“We are focused on becoming the top platform of choice for all international buyers across home, furniture, fashion and accessories, and other design-led categories. Our goal is to offer a wide range of products, better pricing coupled with tech solutions to make the entire process of sourcing smooth & hassle-free,”

The company has recently expanded into the United States and the United Kingdom, bolstering its presence in the western hemisphere—a lucrative market for buyers and sellers.

“We believe that the tailwinds are on our side, and these fresh funds will help us execute our vision more rapidly. We are on track to hit $100 million in annualized topline in the next twelve months,”
