Fresco secures $20 M in a Series B round to improve its smart kitchen platform

Fresco, a smart kitchen platform based in Dublin that aims to make cooking simple and enjoyable by connecting dots in the kitchen, revealed that its Series B round of funding had been closed for $20 million (roughly €18.48 million).

Three worldwide appliance manufacturers led the round: Instant Brands, maker of the renowned Instant Pot; Vorwerk, maker of the all-in-one multicooker Thermomix TM6; and a third big appliance manufacturer will be revealed later this year.

The funds raised will be used for working capital, as well as to increase the company’s workforce and improve its digital platform and related applications.

“Fresco exists to bridge the gap between intention and action around cooking by using technology to empower home chefs,”

Ben Harris, CEO and co-founder of Fresco

The company has worked with some of the world’s largest appliance manufacturers to deliver its services, including BOSCH, Electrolux, GE Appliances, Instant Brands, Kenwood, LG Electronics, Panasonic, and Thermomix.
