The Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), a Multinational Australian bank, has partnered with BigCommerce, a significant e-commerce network provider, to make it easier for companies of all sizes to open and expand their online shops, according to the bank.
On Monday, the CBA revealed the agreement, citing ABS research that indicates Australian online transactions in January 2021 were nearly two-thirds (63%) higher than in January 2020 – a finding the bank claims is mainly consistent with levels seen across 2020, with online sales elevated after the start of the pandemic.
BigCommerce, one of the world’s leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) e-commerce platforms, assists enterprises in creating an online marketplace, marketing to clients, and driving purchases via social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and eBay.
James Fowle, CBA’s Executive General Manager for Everyday Business Banking, “We’re incredibly excited about what our partnership with BigCommerce means for our merchant customers. We’ve seen a rapid shift online, particularly in the past year, and this partnership will help our business customers more easily establish and expand their online business.”
He said that the bank needed to offer the best possible service to their clients, and collaborations like this enable them to assist their business customers in achieving their objectives. As a result of the partnership, the bank will assist buyers from the initial design choice to the first sale.
Ecommerce SaaS technology, according to the CBA and BigCommerce, is continuing to radically transform how enterprises, banks, and card networks collaborate by linking buyers and vendors in new ways, adding payment capabilities, and developing new purchase experiences.
