Anakin, a B2B SaaS firm, has raised $2 million from YCombinator and others

Anakin is a business-to-business SaaS (software-as-a-service) company that allows e-commerce businesses to see live pricing data from competitors. According to a statement released on Monday, the company said it had raised $2 million in a Seed funding round from YCombinator, HOF Capital, Austen Allred, ACE & Company, Integrity, Pioneer Fund, and a group of other angel investors. 

Anakin, founded in September 2020 by Mohit Prateek and Rashmi Bala, helps e-commerce retailers and companies maximize revenue by analyzing price, products, and trends data from competitors and marketplaces.

According to the company, the funds will be used to improve its software and recruit new staff to expand its presence in other locations. Anakin has offices in India, San Francisco, and Singapore. Product development, expansion into different categories, and creating a self-service tool will all be priorities.

Anakin started in the grocery business and has moved into the food delivery, ride-sharing, and travel industries. According to the company, smaller eCommerce enterprises, brands, and mom-and-pop shops would be able to use self-serve platforms.
