As wildfire season returns to the American West, Vibrant Planet revealed that it had raised a $17 million seed round led by Ecosystem Integrity Fund and The Jeremy and Hannelore Grantham Environmental Trust.

The new investment will be used to expand the firm’s team with tactical recruits and enhance its forum to reestablish forest perseverance across Western United States, Europe, and other at-risk forests worldwide.

Vibrant Planet is a public-benefit company that is creating Land Tender. It’s essentially SaaS for forest ecosystems, which the business refers to as an “operating system for forest restoration.”

Vibrant Planet, founded by CEO Allison Wolff and Chief Scientist Dr. Hugh Safford, is an operating system that offers a robust suite for forest treatment options, predictive modeling, measuring and reviewing, and investment prioritization to organizations, federal and state agencies, and land managers. This technology enables a range of stakeholders to organize forest health treatment methods cooperatively in months rather than years while staying within a budget and validating initiatives for carbon financing from businesses with net-zero goals.
